Wednesday Pick Me Up
September 23, 2020
This week's challenge is to make eye contact with a stranger. Masks can be barriers as smiles just won't do, though eyes can emit such kindness. Eyes are crucial and so are words and gestures. Matt Koceich (Come Follow Me, 9.22.20) writes, "When we offer a "warm soul," through kind eyes (and kind words and deeds,) their "spirit will be turned toward heaven." What a beautiful image. May we be aware of those around us today, who need a warm soul, as we pray "Open the eyes of my heart Lord." Ephesians 1:18
See you this weekend for live outdoor worship! Dress for the weather.
We strive to be a warm and welcoming fellowship of believers as we are called to worship God in Word and Sacrament. Through prayer, education, fellowship and benevolence we seek to make the Good News of Jesus Christ known to our congregation and our community. Seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we use our gifts and talents to support the spiritual needs of an active and growing community now and into the future.”
Come worship in a rural setting that is close to Manheim, Lititz, Lebanon, Elizabethtown, Palmyra, and Campbeltown. Get away from the noise and savor the quietness of the Lord's Spirit moving hearts and minds. In just a few minutes you can be worshiping in a little white church in the vale.
Your thirst for God's presence can be quenched with the Holy Word of God.
Need space to hold an event? After COVID give us a call.
We freely open our church home to you and yours.
